About the Author
It was a very unlikely event that provided the stimulus for writing my new book. The event was the global pandemic! Once the virus hit, all of a sudden there was no place to go, and nothing to do. So, what do you do when all of your time becomes spare time? You sit down and write a book about something you enjoy; so that’s what I did.
When I was about ten years old, my father taught me how to drive our Model-A Ford. It was this thrilling experience that took place more than 73 years ago that provides the basic material for this book. My personal experience as an automobile mechanic, albeit not a very good one, also helps with some of the technical stuff.
